Parent Teen Conflict Support Group

Family life can be challenging, especially during the teenage years. Teens want more independence, and communication with parents often changes. Many parents notice that their teenagers don’t talk to them the way they used to. This group is for parents who want to better understand their teens, strengthen their relationship, and feel more confident in their parenting.
In this group, parents will learn how the teenage brain and nervous system affect behaviour. You’ll explore why this stage of life can feel so emotional or stressful, and how to communicate in ways that reduce conflict instead of causing arguments. Together, we’ll look at why teens may feel anxious, upset, or act out—and what parents can do to respond calmly and effectively.
Being a parent doesn’t mean giving up boundaries or letting teens do whatever they want. It means setting clear expectations while still staying connected. It’s about creating a home that feels supportive, respectful, and peaceful.
The adolescent years can be tough—for both teens and parents—but conflict can be reduced with the right strategies and a better understanding of what teens are going through. This group will help parents build stronger relationships and navigate this stage with confidence.
This is a free group however participants must pre-register.
This group runs in person Mondays from 5:30 – 7:00 pm
