Update: December 2nd, 2020
Dear Friends, Families and Community Partners:
As we continue to work through the current Covid-19 crisis I would like to keep you updated on the status of North Okanagan Youth and Family Services Programs and Services.
We continue to have our downtown office open to the public. There will be restrictions on numbers of people allowed in the building and other physical distancing precautions in place to best protect our clients and staff. At his time, MASKS ARE MANDATORY in all common areas, and shared office spaces where physical distancing is a challenge. We view being open to the public as very positive and beneficial to the community. Our re-opening/re-entry plan was done in consultation with Provincial Health Authorities, Work Safe BC and our funders.
In-person parenting and youth skill building and educational groups have started up again. Our team has many precautions in place to ensure the safety of all participants and facilitators. Please connect directly with facilitators for availability and information on which groups are happening in person or virtually.
Both of our Residential Programs continue to operate at regular capacity.
We recognize that your need for support may be greater during these uncertain and anxious times. We want to reassure you that all of our programs and services are available. Our counselors continue to provide face-to-face or in-person counselling but will connect remotely if preferred. Please call the downtown office for information or to get connected with a counselling program or service.
We are grateful that we can remain available and responsive to the needs of our community while doing our part to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Take care of yourselves and your families.
